About Rookery Farm Honey

Founded from a love of bees and Suffolk honey, Rookery Farm Honey has grown from a handful of colonies into an award-winning Suffolk honey producer, guided by quality, sustainability, and care for the bees has been at the heart of everything we have done over the last 10 years.

Meet Janet & Steve

Our passion for bees and honey turned an idea into a reality when Rookery Farm Honey was founded in 2016.

What began with a few bee colonies soon turned into a successful business with dozens of beehives producing a unique line of quality products.

Since we launched our business, we’ve stayed true to our motto:

“Best Quality Honey from Suffolk.”

In addition to staying local, we also focus on keeping our work sustainable and fair, because we know that happy and healthy bees lead to great products for our customers.

A Suffolk Setting

Rookery Farm, located in the village of Drinkstone, surrounded by a natural mix of arable land, hedgerows, gardens, and mature trees.

This diversity of forage is essential. It allows the bees to produce honey that is not only local, but expressive of its natural environment.

Unlike single-crop honey, ours is multi-floral and naturally varied, shaped by what is in bloom across the seasons.

Why Unfiltered Matters

Filtering can create visual clarity, but it removes much of what gives honey its true character.

By leaving our honey unfiltered, we preserve:

Its natural pollen profile

Its subtle variations in texture

Its full aromatic depth

It may appear slightly cloudy and may crystallise over time, but this is just signs of natural, pure honey.
